This CD is absolutely incredible! I was blown away. It's like taking an unexpected journey - surprises, cool stuff, scary stuff and even things to make you think... There's so much to this CD that I'm feeling as though I can't possibly write enough about it. I was truly impressed not only by the music, but also the caliber of the lyrics on this release. I sat and literally studied the lyrics to better absorb what the songs were about. So you put it on... Track 1, "The Fall - Gate of God" grabs you right away. Heavy, instrumental intro piece. Fades out... Next track fades in, "Auriga Virtutum". Grooves, vocals come in, his voice gets your attention... You listen. I like the way he combined "Psalm 63" and "Sun T'zu (The Art of War)" - ‘I believe all wars come out of disputes over God and Land'... Next track is a little creepy, "Sartre Chronicles #6 La Nausee", something's coming... You're not sure what it is, will it hurt you? Friend or foe? Breathe quieter... Listen... It's coming closer... Then it's gone. Into "Penance". This has a King's X kinda sound to it. The loss of a child... What can you say about that? "V-gi-li-si" Cherokee for "My Grandma". This is one of my favorites. When this song comes on, it doesn't matter what I'm doing - I am drawn to listen to it. You want to know. Perhaps it's the sound of his voice, or perhaps it's my need for mystery... "Cedar, Cross and Eagle Wing" also has that King's X feel to it. One of the best songs on the CD. This song, to me, expresses how the U.S. Government / white man fucked over the Native Americans... Do you know that EVERY treaty ever made with the Native Americans has been broken... Then it goes into an instrumental, "III Unclean". It is a droning, haunting piece - Which abruptly switches to "White Trash/Coffee Black" I love it! I feel that way often (You can too, just get a job working with the public... Fun o fun) Groovy... "D.A.V.G." whoa. What the fuck? Why didn't we learn about this in school? A shocking report of the evils committed during World War I (yes WWI not II) It is horrific. You can actually visualize what he describes... You must hear it yourself. Be prepared for a shock. It is amazing what is justified in the name of war... And what people are capable of. "Somme, France 1916" about that place and time... And now "The Fall - Confusion" the end - Back to the beginning, where it all started, where you started your journey... What a trip. Feel any different?
