TCC's History
It was a dark and stormy night in 1969 (?) when the Oklahoma Legislature passed the enabling legislation that led to the establishment of what was then called Tulsa Junior College. TJC grew to become the largest two-year institution of higher education in the state, and competes with the University of Oklahoma for the title of largest institution of higher education in the state.
A lot of things happened.
In 1996, Tulsa Junior College was renamed Tulsa Community College.
