Psi Beta is the national honor society for two-year college psychology students. You do not have to be a psychology major to join Psi Beta, but you must have completed (PSY1113) Introduction to Psychology (formerly known as General Psychology) with a B or better. If you have taken other psychology courses, you must have at least a 3.0 Psychology GPA. In addition, you must have completed at least 12 hours of college credit and have an overall 3.0 GPA.
Membership costs include a one-time fee of $25.00 to join the Psi Beta National organization, and dues of $5.00 per semester for membership in the local chapter.
If you are interested in joining the TCC Metro Campus Chapter of Psi Beta, contact Professor Nichols for an application. The chapters at NEC and SEC are currently inactive, so students at those campuses and at West Campus are welcome to join the Metro Chapter.
Visit this site again. We will be posting the details of our adventures, and a schedule of meetings and events, in the near future.
A calendar of events for this Chapter can be accessed at Remind U-Mail by using the username PsiBeta and the password sociology (both are case-sensitive). Responsible officers can enter meetings and activities. Members can check occasionally to see what is scheduled.
While you are at it, you might wish to visit Psi Beta's official web site. You might also wish to join in on the discussion of matters Psi Beta, psychology, and studenthood.
