Web-based email allows you to access your email even when you are
not at your own computer, because your email resides on the provider's
server. All of these are very sophisticated email programs, with
folders, filtering, address books, groups, and just about any other features
you can wish for.

You connect directly with Juno's mail server via modem, usually using a
free local access number, so you do not even have to have an internet access
account. Of course, if you have Internet access, you can still use
Juno.
