      The On-Line College Classroom List, is devoted to discussions, announcements, papers, etc. that are pertinent to those who are teaching (or planning to teach) college classes on-line. The emphasis is on both the practical considerations of planning and implementing on-line instruction as well as on theoretical or philosophical issues. Discussions are aimed at the needs of both the beginner and the expert.

        NEWPSYCHLIST

      The Members of the NewPsychList are doctoral-level psychologists and post-doc's who have completed their degress within the past five years or so and are establishing their new careers.  On the NewPsychList, we share concerns, provide mutual support, and help each other to integrate ourselves into our profession.  Topics include those of interest to psychology basic and applied researchers, educators, and clinicians.  These include working towards tenure, young investigator awards, licensure preparation, post-doctoral study issues, gaining a first grant, job tips, the changing demographic composition of psychologists, repaying student loans, and many others.

        PsychTeacher

      PsychTeacher is a moderated discussion list for high school and college/university teachers of psychology.  PsychTeacher is designed to be focused list rather than a freewheeling discussion list on any topic.  The discussion list will focus on topics such as: (a)requests for or suggested ideas for teaching a specific course or content material; (b)discussion of general instructional issues that cross over different courses; (c)discussion of issues not directly related to classroom instruction, but closely tied to teaching in general; (d)announcements of interest to the group and directly related to teaching; and (e)specific requests for help or information to assist in teaching a course or topic.  In addition, each month, an invited guest article on a topic related to the teaching of psychology will be posted to the list.  List members will be invited to respond to the article.

      SocPsy-L has been created that is designed to foster communication between researchers on issues pertaining to social psychology.  SocPsy-Lis intended to provide a forum for individuals to discuss such issues such as: current directions in theory and application of social-psychological research, social cognition, and the teaching of social psychology.  SocPsy-L is an excellent way to communicate with your colleagues instantly, to get reactions to ideas, forge collaborative research partnerships, and discuss teaching issues in social psychology.

      TIPS (Teaching In the Psychological Sciences)

      The focus of TIPS is on the exchange of information regarding teaching in general and the teaching of psychology in particular.
