Begin Construction of Personal Web Page

• Set up your special email account at ZZN   
• Set up Xoom Account
• Register with Geocities (Optional/Backup)

      Set up GeoCities Account.
1. Find out status of addresses in the XXXX block of SiliconValley/??.
2. Select an available address (check addresses from ?? - ??).
3. Click on "Apply for this address".
4. Fill out the application.
5. Check your Hotmail account for a message from GeoCities.
6. Using the Basic Editor, make a change on your home page.
• If needed, download Netscape Communicator, WinZip, and WS_FTP.
• Download HotDog, HoTMetaL (Optional/For home use)
• Explore examples of pages created by earlier students
• Begin creating first web page 

 

• Bring Disks (minimum 3 or 4)
• Bring Photo(s) (of yourself, or your pet(s), family, car, etc.)
• Bring Bio file (ASCII format, more about yourself, what you want to tell the world, and/or something written about your topic.)
