The purpose of this assignment is to allow you to further demonstrate your understanding of modern methods of psychotherapy, using appropriate terminology. There is not always a clearly superior method of therapy for a particular disorder. There is usually, however, some basis for determining which therapeutic approach, or approaches, offer the greatest likelihood of successful treatment of a specific person with a particular disorder.

In your report:

Using the disorder you selected in the assignment for Chapter 13, determine the most suitable therapy/therapies for treating that disorder. Use the information you gained from the textbook and the web sites you visited to make your decision.

Describe the therapy method. Identify the general approach or approaches used, and the specific techniques that might be employed.

Indicate the likely outcome. What is the prognosis for a successful outcome?

Address any dangers associated with using that therapy method. What, if any, actual dangers might the patient/client face? Are there any lesser problems that the patient/client faces?
